Zootzensee

The Zootzensee ( Slavic sosna " pine ", according to the desert settlement Zootzen ) is located in the north of Brandenburg and is part of Rheinberger Lakeland. The beautiful bays and formerly much larger lake covers an area of 167 hectares and is as deep as 21 m. There are navigable connections in a westerly direction across the channel to the Great Repenter Zechliner lake and to the east over the Zootzenkanal to Tietzowsee.

The Zootzensee is part of the Zechliner waters, a so-called other inland waterways of the covenant. Responsible is the Waterways and Shipping Office Eberswalde.
