Zur Freiheit

For freedom is a television series by Franz Xaver Bogner, which was produced for the Bavarian Radio.

Action

For freedom is the new name of the old-established, but dilapidated slaughterhouse economy in the slaughterhouse Munich; the guests are mostly butchers the slaughterhouse. Paula, the owner of the wholesale market halls kiosks will be forced from their competitors out and then leases the inn. Franz Xaver Bogner draws a fine picture of the milieu characters and telling new stories in every episode from the "belly of Munich ".

Awards

  • The series received critical acclaim and several awards, including the Golden Gong.
  • Director Franz Xaver Bogner and Ruth Drexel ( on behalf of all actors ) have been awarded the Adolf- Grimme-Preis in silver.

Others

Following the broadcast of freedom to also in the Munich Zenettistraße real existing ( and renovated ) was " inn at the slaughterhouse ," a popular cultural meeting place. So here, among other things, the cabaret series Ottis Schlachthof was produced with Ottfried Fischer.

Toni Berger meets in the " Carnival episode" Fata Morgana in a cameo on itself, as the comet during the carnival balls of a dark corridor in the basement of Boanlkramer comes to meet, but after a brief exchange of words non- judge things disappear in the darkness.

Broadcast notes

From October 1987 to December 1988, the series was first broadcast on ARD regional program of the Bayerischer Rundfunk and later repeated several times in the third program of the BR.

Music

As in almost all TV series from FX Bogner wrote for freedom to Haindling aka Hans -Jürgen Buchner music and even when he occurs even in the series and plays the series song: "Paula".

As a guest in an episode occurs on the "Isar Indians " Willy Michl and sings his song " Isarflimmern ".
