Züsedom is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Rollwitz Greifswald in eastern Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ).

Geography

The place Züsedom on the border to Brandenburg is located in hilly terrain ( heights up to 99 m above sea level. NN ) between Uecker and Randowbruch. The area around Züsedom is largely dominated by agriculture. Pasewalk is located six kilometers north of Züsedom. 1.5 km east is the approximately 0.4 -acre water crescent fracture and 800 meters northwest of the approximately 0.5 -acre water Pape Moor.

History

1367 estate village was first mentioned in a document ( in a person register: Clawes Czusdom ). 1650 came Züsedom to the Electress of Brandenburg, then to the Lords of Olden Vliet, of Lindstedt, von Winterfeld, Sehmsdorf (from 1800), Menz and von Arnim ( 1842 /43). On July 25, 1952 Züsedom was removed together with other municipalities from the Brandenburg until 1945 the Prussian district Prenzlau and assigned to the circle Pasewalk in the district of Neubrandenburg.

The over 700 -year-old stone church was destroyed in April 1945 in fierce fighting and rebuilt in 1966.

On 1 January 2012, the formerly independent municipality Züsedom was incorporated into Rollwitz.
