The Zwischbergenpass is a 3,268 m above sea level. M. Saumpass high, the Saas- Almagell in the Saas Valley into Zwischbergental in Gondo (municipality Zwischbergen ) leads to the Simplon pass.

A little below the summit is at 2'894 m above sea level. M. the Almagellerhütte of the Swiss Alpine Club SAC. It serves as a guest at a crossing pass or as a starting point for the ascent of Weissmies or Portjengrates.
