1995–96 Slovak Extraliga season

The 1995/ 96 Extraliga was the third regular host of the top division of Slovakia. In the playoff finals, the TJ VSZ Kosice Dukla Trenčín sat against the HC by 4-1 victories and won the second Slovakian league title in club history. The top four teams in the second-rate first league, the HK VTJ Ves, HKm Zvolen, HK 36 Skalica and HC VTJ CET Michalovce competed against the two last of the Extraliga in order to participate in the Extraliga in the following season. Finally, the HK VTJ Ves and HC Banska Bystrica prevailed.
