1998 German Skeleton Championship

The 32nd German Skeleton Championship 1998 was held on January 11, 1998 in Altenberg. There was one event for women and for men. Both have been carried out in two runs. The championships were also the Saxon Championships, read won Lars Peter and Diana Sartor.

At the start, a total of 21 participants. Olaf Meilicke crashed in the first run. Andy Böhme won his first and only national title. Böhme and Willi Schneider were the superior athletes of the competition and distanced all other starters. Bohme posted the fastest times in both races.

Women

At the start were a total of 7 participants. Steffi Hanzlik won her second national title after title in the previous year. She drove in two runs, the rating bests and distanced Diana Sartor by more than a minute. All other starters were in terms of performance compared to the two front -placed athletes massively.
