1st. Slovak National Hockey League

The first Slovenská Národná hokejová league, often short 1 SNHL ( German first Slovak National Hockey League ) was formed in 1969 to 1993 and the first Česká národní hokejová the second highest league hockey league in Czechoslovakia, where the first SNHL consisted entirely of teams from the Slovak part of the country. Between the second game of the first class and a rise League Relegation was played to determine and losers at the end of the season.

History

Starting in 1963, the second division of Czechoslovakia was played in four regional groups, where the group D was discharged as a purely Slovak group. The four group winners played in the promotion relegation of two intermediates.

In 1969, the leagues game operation was reformed and established two separate divisions for the Czech and Slovak part of Czechoslovakia. These were called first ČNHL ( 1 Česká národní hokejová league ) and 1 denotes SNHL ( 1 Slovenská Národná hokejová league ), the latter emerged from Group D of the former second league. For the promotion round, the champion of the first SNHL, the two first of the season and the first ČNHL point best runner of the two squadrons qualified.

By 1970, the first SNHL and their predecessors was that the 2nd season D League, played with eight participants. Subsequently, the league was increased to twelve teams and created a rise relegation to the third division ( Divize, 2nd SNHL ). 1974 also a direct relegation between the winners of the first SNHL and the last of the first league table was introduced that was played as best of five series.
