2009–10 Elite Women's Hockey League

The 2009/10 season was the sixth season of the Elite Women's Hockey League, a woman Hockey League. In its sixth year, took between September 6, 2009, and January 16, 2010 a total of six teams from Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Germany and Slovakia in part. The sixth master of the league was the ESC Planegg / Würmtal, who thus became the first German participant won the title.

The defending champion HC Slavia Prague and runner- OSC Berlin refrain from financial reasons to participate. Agordo hockey returned to the short-term withdrawal back to the beginning of last season. A team from Croatia waived - as well as from the Czech Republic - the first time since the country joined the League to participate.

Mode

The six participants played in a half times round in the league system of the courts, so that each team fought out 15 games. Thus, two teams met three times in succession during the season. The team with the most points at the end won the title. A win is a team received three points with a victory after extra two points. However, the losing team received after the regular season no points for a defeat after extra one point.
