2010–11 Bundesliga (women)

The 2010/11 season was the 21st season of the football league for women. The season began on 15 August 2010 and ended on 13 March 2011. With the early season, the DFB German national team wanted to allow sufficient preparation time for the World Cup 2011 in Germany. During the period 23 April to 22 May 2011, the clubs were playing from the Premier League Cup.

German champion was defending 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam with one point ahead of the first FFC Frankfurt. For Potsdam it was the third league title in series, and the fifth overall German Championship in history. Descent had to 1.FC Saarbrücken and the Herford SV.

The average attendance increased from 765 to 834, the largest backdrop watched the game between 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam and the SG Essen- Beautiful Beck ( 7000), while only 78 spectators wanted to see the match between Hamburger SV and 1.FC Saarbrücken.

Four clubs were able to welcome accumulated over 10,000 spectators at home games. 36 matches were watched by more than 1000, seven more than in 2000, five out of more than 3000 spectators. The largest Zuschauerzuwache could again VfL Wolfsburg recorded with 53 percent, while the FF USV Jena suffered a decline of 35 percent.
