2010–11 Elite Women's Hockey League

The 2010/11 season was the seventh season of the Elite Women's Hockey League, a woman Hockey League. In the seventh year of its existence, take between 11 September 2010 and February 27, 2011 a total of eight teams from Austria, Slovenia, Germany, Slovakia and the Netherlands participate. The seventh master of the league was the EHV Sabres Wien, the post-2004 won the title for the second time.

The Vienna Flyers returned to the lineup for the league and with the MHK Martin a second Slovakian team was taken. In addition, the Dutch national ice hockey team of the women played in the league, some of which fought out their home games in the respective opponents. It was the first participation of a team from the Netherlands. A team from Italy did not take part in the competition.

Mode

The eight participants played in a double round in the league system of the courts, so that each team fought out 14 games. The four teams with the most points qualify at the end of main round for the first time hosted the final tournament. A win is a team received three points with a victory after the sudden victory overtime said extension or after the shootout two points. However, the losing team received after the regular season no points for a defeat after extra time or penalty shoot a point.

In the final tournament of the four remaining participants played in the knockout system from the master of the league.

The so-called Final Four was held on February 26th and 27th 2011 in Austria Amstetten in 2,000 -seat ice rink instead of Amstetten.
