2010 Indian Premier League
The Indian Premier League 2010 was the third season of the discharged in the Twenty20 format competition for Indian cricket team and took place between 12 March and 25 April. Having been in the previous season for safety reasons the competition was held in South Africa, he found again this year be held in India. Winners of the competition were the Chennai Super Kings, who were able to prevail against the winner of the preliminary round, Mumbai Indians, in the final.

Safety concerns
The year before the games of the IPL season were moved to South Africa as a safe execution of the tournament could not be guaranteed. This time, there were concerns that it could lead to terrorist attacks on the tournament. Because of separatist aspirations in the region of Telangana in the state of Andhra Pradesh and thus feared riots the home games of the Deccan Chargers were not held in Hyderabad as 2008. Instead, these were divided into the stages in Nagpur, Cuttack and Navi Mumbai.
On April 17, it was in Bangalore between Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Mumbai Indians as part of the tip clearance to two smaller explosions in the vicinity of the stadium, where eight people were injured. Format
The tournament is divided into two phases. In the group phase of each franchise face off against each other in each of a home and an away game. For a victory, there are two, a defeat no points. After the 56 group matches, the top four teams play the semi-finals, the final and the game for third place. The finalists and the winner of the game for third place will qualify for the Champions League Twenty20 here in 2010.
