2010 Winter Paralympics

The 10th Paralympic Winter Games were held from 12 to 21 March 2010 in the Canadian city of Vancouver instead, the largest city in the province of British Columbia. The Paralympics is the Olympics for people with physical disabilities and found the place after the 2010 Winter Olympics. Successful nation with 13 gold medals was Germany.

The venues for the games covered a 120 - kilometer zone from the banks of Richmond to the downtown area of Vancouver. It should existing and new venues for the competitions to be used. For the second time Canada was after the summer Paralympics 1976 in Toronto hosted the games. The opening ceremony was held Stadium in Vancouver and the closing ceremony in Whistler BC Place.
