2012 Open de Nice Côte d'Azur

The Open de Nice Côte d' Azur 2012 was a tennis tournament, which took place in Nice from 20 to 26 May 2012. It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and had to Category ATP World Tour 250 In the same week was played in the Dusseldorf World Team Cup.

Last year's winner in the singles, Nicolás Almagro, again reached the finals and won there in two sets against qualifier Brian Baker. He won the tournament without dropping a set and remained so after his debut last year unbeaten in Nice. In the 2012 season, this was his second ATP title, overall, the twelfth title win of his career (all on clay court ). For Baker, it was after a long injury break, the first ATP tournament since 2005, and at the same time his first final in this category.

In doubles, Eric Butorac and Jean -Julien Rojer were no longer together to defend their title at, but played with each new partners and eliminated in the semifinals and in the first round. In this year's final, the Bryan brothers won in straight sets against Oliver Marach and Filip Polášek. This was their first victory in Nice, her third title in 2012 and the total of 78 joint ATP title of the twins.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 28 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The four top-seeded player in singles each got a bye into the second round.
