42nd Berlin International Film Festival
The Berlin International Film Festival 1992 began on 13 February and ended on 24 February 1992.
Opening film was the Italian- Russian co-production The Inner Circle by Andrei Konchalovsky. The film tells the story of Stalin's projectionist, Sanshin Alexander, who came to Berlin for the premiere of the film.

International Jury
Jury President was the French actress Annie Girardot. Under her leadership, the following jury awarded the prizes: Charles Champlin, Sylvia Chang, Enyedi, Irving N. Ivers, Wolfgang claw, Fernando Lara, Eldar Schengelaia, Dahlia Shapira, Michael Verhoeven and Susannah York.
