9th César Awards
The ninth presentation of the César Awards took place on March 3, 1984 at the Théâtre de l'Empire in Paris. President of the ceremony was the actor Gene Kelly. Aired the ceremony, led lemon hosted by Léon, the public television channel Antenne 2, today's France 2
As two films have won Best Picture, Maurice Pialat on what we love and Ettore Scola's film Le Bal - The Dance Palace, which was awarded for the Best Director and Best Original Score. Claude Berri's on the edge of the night could hold its own against the competition, with a total of eleven nominations in five categories. Richard Anconina received for his role in On the edge of the night for Best Supporting Actor and Best Young Actor César each one. Fanny Ardant was beaten in the category of Best Actress, as in 1982, Isabelle Adjani.
