A Dónde

A dónde is a song by German synthpop band Cetu Javu, as the B- side of the single, first on 31 October 1989 " So Strange " and in 1990 appeared on the debut album Southern Lands. It was the biggest success of the band. The 1990 A-side re-released song reached # 2 on the singles charts in Spain.

CD production

The track was recorded in Berlin in 1989 in the Hansa recording studios and mixed. It was produced by Cetu Javu and sound engineer Matthias Härtl, as Assistant Engineers supported Shannon Strong, A. Moses Schneider and Alex readers.

After a few complications during studio work and various disagreements with ZYX Records Cetu Javu docked in the fall of 1989, the song " So Strange " from the forthcoming LP. On the B - side of the plate there was the Spanish-language title "A dónde " which climbed to No. 2 in the Spanish charts and so bands like Depeche Mode with " Policy of Truth" or " Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinéad O ' Connor refurbished. Stefan Engelke was replaced shortly after the release of "So Strange" by Thorsten Kraass.

With "Southern Lands" appeared at the beginning of 1990, after several delays, the first album, and also the last release of the band on the label ZYX Records. The following works have been released by now on the Spanish record label Blanco y Negro Music, and was especially apparent in the Latin countries, such as Spain, Argentina and Peru, celebrate successes. Since "A dónde " was originally a B-side, the title in 1990 by Blanco y Negro Music was released only for Spanish-speaking countries as the A- side. After touring followed the band all over Spain to Argentina. Both "Have in Mind" and " A dónde " became hits.

In 1991, the maxi-single "Por que? " Blanco y Negro brought out under Music, which was also to obtain only in Spanish-speaking area. This song entered the charts. 1994 brought the band a number of maxi-singles out, including a remix of "A dónde ".

Reception in the press

MagaScene Hannover reported in its issue of May 1991, the scene releases: " Your last Maxi » Adonde " was weeks in the Spanish top 12 and should there have also reached gold - but has a statement of the sales Cetu Yavu (sic) still not get it.
