A4 road (Latvia)

Autoceļš A4 is an entity belonging to Latvian State Roads " State Street " ( lett valsts galvenie Autoceļi ). It runs from an intersection of the roads A1 and A2 outside of Riga at a motorway junction with the A6 at Latvia Salaspils. The A4 is a part of European Routes 67 and 77, the A4 is called the eastern ring road of Riga.

The total length is 20.4 kilometers. As the road is currently equipped with one lane for each direction, the speed limit is 90 km / h By the end of 2012, the A4 should be expanded to half of their total length as a motorway-like road with two lanes in each carriageway. Construction began in 2011. In addition, there are plans to completely expand and modernize the A4. However, this is not expected before 2014. The average traffic volume of 7026 vehicles per day in 2011.
