Haaroon ( هارون ) corresponds to the biblical Aaron (Hebrew Aharon ). He is one of the prophets of Islam.

Haaroon is the older brother of Prophet Musa (Moses ), brother of Maryam and son of Imran. Following Koran idea Harun was sent by Allah (God) to the people of Israel, to free it from the tyranny of Pharaoh.
