AEG Wagner Eule

The AEG Wagner Eule (factory designation AEG E 2 ) was a single-engine two-seat German reconnaissance aircraft, which was built in 1911/1912 in 1910 founded department of AEG aircraft, according to the plans of Ing Wagner. It was prepared by the known documents only two copies. The first machine burned, ending the second in 1914 only executed some flights. The Eindeckerentwicklung was then terminated.

An unrestored copy is now in the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow. According to the museum in Poland Wagner owl said to have been the first aircraft which AEG has built. However, this may be doubted, since already 1910/1911 the pattern Z 1 and Z 2 were built by AEG.

The drive consisted of a Gnôme et Rhone rotary engine. The hull is made of welded steel tube and as well as the made ​​of wood covered with fabric wings. Technical data are known not assignable documents.
