Agnes Simon

Agnes Simon (born Almasy, born June 21, 1935 in Budapest - some sources give as a birthday June 25, at ) is a former Hungarian table tennis player. From 1953 to the 1970s, it belonged to the world's best. She started for three different nations - Hungary, the Netherlands and Germany - and achieved numerous successes, including when participating in nine European and nine world championships.

Career

Hungary

Born in Budapest played Agnes Simon also first for Hungary. As a Hungarian, it was represented at four World Championships. They finished with the Hungarian team each top positions. In 1957 she won the World Championship in doubles together with Livia Mossóczy by the English double Diane Rowe / Ann Haydon defeated in the final.

Netherlands

Following their participation in the 1957 World Cup Agnes Simon did not return with her husband Béla returned to Hungary. Instead, she went to the Netherlands. At the World Championship 1959 in Dortmund but has not been used in the Dutch women's team. However, she appeared as " Dutch " in the individual competitions at. Germany
