Água de Beber

Água de beber is a bossa nova song by the Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim from the year 1963. The original text was written by Vinícius de Moraes. The title is called in German translates as drinking water. The English-language text developed later Norman Gimbel. The first recording of the song has a length of 2:50 min and appeared on the album The Composer of Desafinado, Plays. The song has been widely gecovert and is now regarded as a jazz standard.

German versions, which contain a text that is completely removed from the original, the holiday, fun and children's song Bad'n are they doing? with German text by C. Gerl and Jürgen Kreffter and the single " water from the river " from Jersey (2008).
