Albissola Marina

Albissola Marina ( in the Ligurian: A Moenn -a d' Arbisseua ) is a municipality with 5559 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Savona.

Geography

Albissola Marina is located on the Riviera di Ponente and borders the provincial capital of Savona, as well as to the community Albisola Superiore. From the latter it is separated by the mouth of the creek Sansobbia.

In 2007, the municipality, awarded for the excellent quality of its beaches, the Blue Flag, as well as the Bandiera Verde. Albissola Marina also received the award Una Citta per il Verde. This is distinguished from cities that have made ​​special efforts to expand the green space within the city limits.

The municipality belongs to the Comunità Montana del Giovo and is a member of the AICC ( Italian Association of Ceramics cities). In addition Albissola Marina is part of the Riviera del Beigua.
