Aleksandr Syrei

Alyaksandr Syrej (White Russian Аляксандр Сырей, Russian Александр Сырей / Alexander Syrei; born August 26, 1988 in Hrodna, Byelorussian SSR) is a Belarusian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Khimvolokno Mogilev in the Belarusian Extraliga since 2010.

Career

Alyaksandr Syrej began his career as a hockey player at youth level of HK Gomel, for the second team he. 2003-2006 both in Division B of the East European Hockey League, and the second Belarusian Hockey League was active At the end of the 2005/06 season the defender made ​​his debut in professional hockey for Homel, as he stood in a game for his club in the Belarusian Extraliga on the ice. After he started the 2006/07 season at HOMELS League rivals HK Brest, he returned to HK Gomel, for he came in parallel in the following one and a half seasons in the second division and the Extraliga used.

The 2008/09 season Syrej spent in his hometown at HK Neman Grodno. He then moved to the newly founded HK Schachzjor Salihorsk. Since the 2010/11 season he plays for the HK Khimvolokno Mogilev in the Extraliga.

Internationally

For Belarus Syrej participated in the U18 Junior B World Cup 2005 and the U18 World Junior Championships in 2004 and 2006 in part. In addition, he was in the squad of Belarus at the U20 World Youth Championship in 2007.
