Alexander Gavrilov (figure skater)

Alexander Jewgenjewitsch Gavrilov (Russian Александр Евгеньевич Гаврилов; born December 5, 1943 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian former figure skater, who started in pair skating for the Soviet Union.

On the side of Tatyana Zhuk Gavrilov 1960 Soviet champion in pair skating. In the same year, the pair played his first European Championship and finished it in tenth place. 1963 won Gavrilov and Shuk both at the European Championships as well as at their first World Cup bronze medal, both times behind Marika Kilius and Hans -Jürgen Baumler and their compatriots Lyudmila Belousova and Oleg Protopopov. In the following year, the same result at the European Championships repeated. At the World Cup in 1964 but they could not repeat the result and were sixth. The Olympic Games in Innsbruck, they finished in fifth place.
