Alexei Kuznetsov

Alexei Kuznetsov Igorewitsch (Russian Алексей Игоревич Кузнецов; born 1 February 1983 in Ust- Kamenogorsk, Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh professional ice hockey goaltender, who plays for HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in the Kontinental Hockey League since May 2013.

Career

Alexei Kuznetsov began his career in 2001 in the second Russian league in Mostowik Kurgan. In 2002 he moved for one season on Dynamo-Energy Yekaterinburg. From 2003 to 2005 he played for HK Sibir Novosibirsk. In the season 2005/06 Goalkeeper of Kaszink - Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk has been committed. He spent the next season with the Kazakh HK Sary- Arka Karaganda. From 2007 to 2010 he was with Barys Astana of Kazakhstan in the gate. 2010 changed the goalkeeper for Liga rivals HK Avangard Omsk.

In November 2012, the HK Avangard Kuznetsov exchanged together with Yevgeny Orlov Oleg against Amur Khabarovsk Piganowitsch because the management of the club was looking for a play strong defense. For Amur Kuznetsov came on 19 missions in the KHL before moving within the league to HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in May of the following year.

Internationally

For Kazakhstan Kuznetsov participated in the qualification for the Olympic Winter Games 2010. In addition, he was in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2009 and 2011 as well as in A World Championship in 2010.
