Alilem, Ilocos Sur

Alilem is a town in the province of Ilocos Sur Philippine and borders the provinces of La Union and Benguet. In the 156.2 km ² area in 2010 lived 6640 people, resulting in a population density of 43 inhabitants per km ². The hilly area increases from a few meters above sea level to 460 meters on. Here is another reason why the cultivation of rice in terraced rice is particularly suitable. Otherwise, is cultivated by the population mainly sugar cane.
