Andrei Minenkov

Andrei Olegovich Minenkov (Russian: Андрей Олегович Миненков, December 6, 1954 in Moscow ) is a Russian former figure skater, who started ice dancing for the Soviet Union.

His Eistanzpartnerin was Irina Moiseyeva with which he is also married. The pair ran together from 1967, made his debut at the World and European Championships, it was 1973. From 1975 to 1982 Moiseyeva and Minenkov always reached the podium at the World Championships. 1975 in Colorado Springs and 1977 in Tokyo, they were world champions. 1976, 1978 and 1981, they were runners-up in 1979, 1980 and 1982, she won the bronze medal. Similarly successful were they at the European Championships, where they could win a medal 1976-1982 forever. 1977 in Helsinki and 1978 in Strasbourg, they were European champions in 1976, 1979 and 1981, she won the silver medal and the bronze medal in 1980 and 1982. In the first Olympic games where ice dancing was in the program, and Moiseyeva Minenkov 1976 in Innsbruck won the silver medal behind their compatriots Lyudmila and Alexander Gorshkov Pakhomova. In her second Olympic Games she won the bronze medal in 1980 in Lake Placid behind their compatriots Natalia and Gennadi Linitschuk Karponossow and the Hungary Krisztina Regőczy and András Sallay.

Moiseyeva and Minenkov were trained by Lyudmila Pakhomova, Natalia Dubova and from 1969 for ten years by Tatiana Tarasova in Moscow.
