Anton von Jaksch

Anton Ritter von Jaksch, Anton Ritter Jaksch of waiting Horst (* April 10, 1810 Wartenberg on Rollberg, † September 2, 1887 at Castle Lohowa at Tuschkau ) was an Austrian internist. He was the father of the internist and pediatrician Rudolf von Jaksch.

Life

After studying medicine in Prague and Vienna Jaksch earned his doctorate in 1835 for Dr. med In the following years he worked 1835-38 as assistant to the second medical clinic in Prague. In addition, he completed his habilitation, which he completed in 1842. From 1842 to 1846 he was Chairman and lecturer at the newly constructed breast health department, after which he became a professor at the University of Prague. He was Rector of the University in 1849. For this activity, Jaksch was excellent with an appeal to Privy Councillor and by granting the dignity of a Knight of the Austrian Order of the Iron Crown, Second Class.

Anton Ritter von Jaksch Wait Horst was the second husband of Auguste of Bärndorf.
