Antonio David Jiménez
Antonio David Jiménez (Antonio David Jiménez Pentinel; born February 18, 1977 in Seville ) is a Spanish hurdler.
He finished third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the U23 European Championships in 1999. At the world championships 2001 he finished sixth, this placement he could repeat four years later at the World Championships in 2005. In the final of the 2004 Olympic Games, he finished in 14th place
While Jiménez failed to win a medal at the world championships in view of the Kenyan superiority, he was unbeatable in the rather slow and marked by the tactics finals of the European Championships 2002. He won in 8:24,34 minutes before the Dutchman Simon Vroemen in 8:24,45 minutes.
In the hall over 3000 meters he had previously won a silver medal at the European Indoor Championships in 2002 behind his compatriot Alberto García.
Antonio David Jiménez is 1,78 m tall and weighs 63 kg.
