Government

Irbin, also Arbin, heiress (Arabic عربين, DMG ʿ Irbin ), is a city in the Rif Gouvernment Dimaschq in Syria.

Name

There are several spellings of the city name: eg Arbine, Arbin, Heiress, Arbeen, Arbeel or Irbin.

Officially the city until the early 1960s, Irbil was ' ( ʿ Irbil ) called what from the Syrian word [: na ʕurba ] could have come, and the importance of [ ʕirbi l] or ' flour sifter ' or ' willow tree ' has.

Geography

Irbin is a suburb of the Syrian capital, Damascus, and is located 7 km northeast of the center. A native of the river Barada River Thura irrigates the surrounding olive and walnut fields and marks the western boundary of Irbin to the place Qabun. Irbin has five neighboring towns and villages: Zamalka, al - Qabun, Harasta al- Basal, Madiara and Hammuria. In the area of Irbin there were many old villages like Bartaya, Rummana Jawwaza, Sultaya.
