Arturas Katulis

Artūras Katulis (* August 5, 1981 in Elektrėnai, Lithuanian SSR) is a Lithuanian professional ice hockey player who stands since 2011 at HK Berkut Kiev in the Professional Hockey League contract.

Career

Artūras Katulis began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the Energia Elektrėnai, for up to 2001 in the East European Hockey League and the Lithuanian ice hockey championship, he was active in 1997 and with whom he Lithuanian champion was the first time in the 2000 /01 season. Then the defender played for a year for Jantar Sewersk in Wysschaja League, the second highest Russian league before he Neman Grodno for the HK ran aground two years in both the East European Hockey League as well as the Belarusian Extraliga. From 2004 to 2006, the Lithuanians stood in the Russian second division Neftjanik Leninogorsk and crystal Saratov under contract. Then he moved to SønderjyskE Ishockey in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen, in which he finished third with his team.

After the right-handed shooter spent the 2007/08 season with Jokerit Lappeenranta in the Finnish SM- liiga, he was engaged by Disel Pensa from the Wysschaja League, for which he in the 2008 /09 season in 50 games twelve points scorer, five goals scored, . For the following season, he moved within the Wysschaja League to Neftjanik Almetyevsk. In the season 2010/11 the Lithuanians stood at HK Liepaja Metalurgs under contract. With this he took during the majority of the season at the Belarusian Extraliga part, however, was also at the European level to three inserts in the IIHF Continental Cup and won with the second team of Liepaja Metalurgs 2011 the Latvian championship. For the season 2011/12 he moved to HK Berkut Kiev from the Professional Hockey League.

Internationally

For Lithuania Katulis took at junior level at the U20 Junior C World Championships in 1999, 2000 and 2001 in part.

In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the World Championships Division II 2002 and 2004 and at the World Championships Division I 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and at the World Championships of IB Division, 2012. he also went to Lithuania in qualifying for the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin.
