Audi A2

The Audi A2 is a minivan from Audi, produced from November 1999 to July 2005 in Neckarsulm.

Design

In 1996, Stefan Sielaff, the project responsibility for the showcar Light green and light blue. A2 3L TDI

This 3 -cylinder 1.2 TDI Low-energy vehicle differs in many features from the other Audi A2.

The automated transmission is operated as in the identically powered VW Lupo 3L, hydraulically via a selector lever and forces by an optimized ECU software very early gear changes. The selectable Eco mode is automatically switched on if the gas removal in the freewheel to lose no energy through engine braking effect. Classification

One problem with the Audi A2 is the classification into the usual categories such as cars, compact class, or minivan. The Audi A2 was developed as a direct competitor to the Mercedes A-Class and corresponds in size and factory price. Both vehicles are at a comparable interior much shorter but higher than a VW Golf IV (length and wheelbase are similar to those of a VW Polo 6N). Yet for Mercedes, it was possible to establish the A-Class as a direct competitor to the VW Golf, as you previously did not have a model of this class - however, different at Audi where there was already a vehicle in the compact class with the Audi A3.

Even the name "A2 " shows that the placement "below the A3 " happened. Demand

In order to boost the relatively sluggish sales, Audi brought in 2003 the special model " colour.storm " on the market.
