Australis (automobile)

Australis is an Australian motor automobile manufacturer which was based in Leichhardt 1897 to 1907 and was operated by GW & G. Wood.

The company started the production with a four-wheeled automobile that was powered by a De Dion engine. Then followed a three-wheeled vehicle with an engine of their own design. Only two types were built: a two-seater buggy with 3 -hp single-cylinder engine in 1901 and a slight buggy with twin-cylinder engine, which gave 7 bhp (5.1 kW ) in 1906.
