Austrian Bishops' Conference

The Austrian Bishops' Conference is an existing public corporation since 1849. Its members include all diocesan bishops, auxiliary bishops and the abbot of the Territorial Abbey Wettingen - Mehrerau. She is a member of the Council of European Bishops' Conferences.

Your task is to represent the Roman Catholic Church against the Austrian state. The bishops' conference is also responsible for official Catholic News Agency Kath Press. Secretary General of the Episcopal Conference is Peter Shipka (since 1 March 2011, elected for six years).
