In Christianshavn in Copenhagen Rumor has it that will be demolished at the Amagergade the old building. This also relates to the tenants of the two houses that are under the direction of caretaker Meyer and the opposite milieu pub by Emma - the rat hole ( Rottehullet ). The real estate speculator and building tycoon Hallandsen has with American capitalists in the back almost all contracts and permits required in your pocket. He wants to go to the area demolition of the old residential district, the Amagergade instead with a large shopping center and a luxury hotel under the name "Hilarious Holyday " dress. Hallandsen only needs the approval of the Ministry of Construction and could not purchase the land of Amagergade 7 and 9 of the old house owner, Mrs. Lorentzen, to finally have the whole quarter so far. The tenant and petty criminals Larsen fakes and steals in Bauministerum the last missing required documents to the construction project. The other tenants of the respective houses and the Kneiperin Emma know to defend themselves and also fiddle with great ingenuity Hallandsen & Co on down the line several times. Finally, they drive the construction magnate and investors to despair and to give up the ambitious building project and save their neighborhood, including their road as from the threat of demolition.
