Balya

Balya is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Balıkesir. The city is located about 30 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital of Balıkesir.

The district is located in the western center of the province. It is bordered to the south by Ivrindi, on the southwest by Havran, on the west by the province of Çanakkale, on the north by Gonen and Manyas and east to the central district. Through the town the road D -555 runs from Ivrindi by Biga. In the northeast of the county of Koca Çay, also Madra Deresi, the further north the reservoir at Manyas ( Manyas Baraji ) is dammed flows.
