Ban Phue District

Amphoe Ban Phue ( Thai: อำเภอ บ้าน ผื อ ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the northwestern province of Udon Thani. The Udon Thani Province is located in the northwestern part of Northeast Thailand, Isaan.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe the Sangkhom, Pho Tak, Tha Bo and Sakhrai Nong Khai province, the Amphoe Phen, Mueang Udon Thani and Kut Chap Udon Thani province, Amphoe Suwannakhuha the province Nongbua Lamphu and Amphoe Nam Som and Na Yung turn in Udon Thani.

Attractions

  • Phu Phrabat ( Thai: อุทยาน ประวัติศาสตร์ ภู พระบาท ) - Historical Park in Ban Phue, about 50 km northwest of the provincial capital located, is an archaeological site dating from the Dvaravati period, the kingdom of Lopburi and Lan Xang (Laos )
  • Forest Park Phu Phrabat Buabok ( Thai: วนอุทยาน ภู พระบาท บัวบก ) - 13 km ² of protected forest in Tambon Mueang Phan

Management

Amphoe Ban Phue is divided into 13 communes ( tambon), which in turn in 165 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Ban Phue ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ผื อ ) itself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the tambon Ban Phue.

There are also 13 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
