Barranquilla FC

Barranquilla FC was established in 2004 is a Colombian football club based in Barranquilla. Since 2005, the club plays in the Categoría Primera B.

History

The first and only time for the group stage, the club qualified in the Torneo Finalización 2008, but without reaching the final. Barranquilla FC is considered as talent scout for traditional club from Barranquilla, Junior, which offers sporting and logistical support. Major players like Luis Muriel, Carlos Bacca and Teofilo Gutierrez, who later played for Junior, made ​​in Barranquilla FC attention. Also in the management of the club there is overlap with Junior.

Stadium

Barranquilla FC completed its home games at the Estadio Martínez Romelio in Barranquilla, the old stadium of Junior. The stadium has a capacity of about 20,000 seats.
