Valledupar FC

Valledupar FC was established in 2003 is a Colombian football club based in Valledupar, Cesar.

History

The club plays in the Categoría Primera since 2004 and B could be up to 2008 still qualify for the group stage. Valledupar FC in 2006 was runner-up, but lost the relegation game against second-bottom of the Categoría Primera A, Atlético Huila. 2008, the club finished second in the Torneo Finalización and missed the championship finals since it lost the back round final against Real Cartagena. Since 2009, the club came away only twice over the league phase, but without being able to reach a final. 2011 Valledupar FC was able to reach the quarterfinals of the Copa Colombia, but was eliminated by the first division Junior.

Stadium

Valledupar FC completed its home games at the Estadio Armando Maestre Pavajeau in Valledupar. The stadium has a capacity of about 10,000 seats.
