Deportivo Rionegro

Corporación de Fútbol Deportivo Rionegro, called Deportivo Rionegro, is a Colombian football club was established in 1957 from Rionegro, whose origins go back to the year 1944. He is the only club that has participated in all seasons of the Colombian second division since its inception in 1991. In 2014 the club moved to after Bello.

History

The club was several times close to the rise in the Categoría Primera A, but so far had no success. 2001 and 2008 was Rionegro runner-up of the second division. 2001, the club finished second behind Deportes Quindio. 2008 Rionegro lost the final against Real Cartagena and also the play-offs against Envigado FC. 2012 was the club in the final of the return series, but lost it against Alianza Petrolera which thereafter against América de Cali won the title and the climb. 2013 was Rionegro again in the finals of the return series against Fortaleza FC, ​​but lost on penalties.

Stadium

Deportivo Rionegro completed its home games at the Estadio Tulio Ospina. The stadium has a capacity of about 12,000 seats.
