Geographical Location
The market is located in the southern foothills of the Steigerwald.

Neighboring municipalities are (from north clockwise beginning ): Market Bag village, Münchsteinach, Diespeck, Dietersheim, Langenfeld, Sugenheim and Scheinfeld.

History
Baudenbach was in the middle of the 17th century became a haven of Austrian religious refugees who found a new home here and contributed to the rebuilding after the devastation of war.
Incorporations
On 1 July 1969, until then independent municipality francs field was incorporated. On 1 July 1971 monk mountain and Rossbach were added. On 1 January 1972 Hambühl followed
