Bečići

Becici (Cyrillic Бечићи; Italian Becici ) is a town in the municipality of Budva, Montenegro. It is located 1 km southeast of Budva and has 891 inhabitants ( 2011 census ).

The city has a 1,950 m long sandy beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in Montenegro and in the southern Adriatic. In 1935 he won the Grand Prix in Paris as the most beautiful beach in Europe. Several sections of the beach are accessible private or only for hotel guests. Budva is within walking distance of a waterfront and a 100 m tunnel, also a tourist train travel on the route.

In contrast to Budva, where many private residential units dominate in the city as a tourist Becici accommodation mainly medium and large hotels. Some of them, such as the Mediterranean, the Iberostar Bellevue or the Queen of Montenegro, have been extensively renovated. The most significant new building was erected in 2005-2006 Hotel Splendid, a luxurious five -star resort owned by the Montenegro Stars Hotel Group, the construction of which caused 70 million euros. Among other things, it has hosted the Rolling Stones, Madonna, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie during their stay in Montenegro.
