Coat of arms

The coat of arms history of Oberlausitzer place Bernstadt content is a little strange. However, these were the great fire of 1828 to the victim.

In 1900 the coat of arms was confirmed today valid, but which very closely follows an existing since 1538 form. In the meantime, there was a coat of arms with horizontally extending wall battlements loose. A ceremony date is not known. But certainly it can be assumed that the coat of arms was by the then owner Bern Forbidden City, the convent Marienstern at Kamenz awarded.
