Bertrand Burgalat

Career

As Bertrand Burgalat was born, his father was vice - prefect of Corsica. In his youth, Bertrand had to move several times because his father was a senior government official repeatedly took over new tasks. At the age of 10 years, a concert by Pink Floyd sparked his interest in pop music for the first time. Mid-twenties, he had already produced a complete album of the band Laibach.

In 1995, Burgalat his own label Tricatel. The name Tricatel he took over from the successful French comedy L' Aile ou la cuisse with Louis de Funès and Coluche in the lead roles, who came to Germany under the name of a beef in the cinemas.

In the following years Burgalat worked with many French bands like Air, April March, AS Dragon, Dalcan and Jad Wio, but also with international greats such as Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Soul II Soul and Pizzicato Five. In 1997 he composed the soundtrack to the film by Valérie Lemercier quadrille. In 1999 he produced with Cinnamon, a Swedish indie pop band whose hit album Vertigo. In 2000 he published a music CD by the French author Michel Houellebecq entitled Présence humaine. On his album Portrait - Robot by 2005, the singer Regina Janssen Donna Regina contributed three songs with the vocals.

2000 started Burgalat a solo project with the release of his debut album The Ssssound of Mmmusic. Over the years, followed by other productions that offer musically a mix of electronic music and psychedelic rock with choirs and strings. His style by France Gall, Françoise Hardy, Jacques Dutronc and Serge Gainsbourg was coined as well as by the electro-pop of Kraftwerk.
