Beyren-lÃ¨s-Sierck

Beyren -lès- Sierck ( German Beiern, Lorraine Beiren ) is a commune with 497 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

The community Beyren lies on the border with Luxembourg, about 15 kilometers northeast of Thionville.

History

The area has been since 1769, with an interruption from 1871 to 1918 ( National Rural Alsace- Lorraine), France, until 1926, the official French place name was simply Beyren.

The village located east Gandren ( Gandern ) is incorporated since 1812.
