Bickenholtz
Bickenholtz ( German Bickenholz ) is a commune ( as at 1 January 2011) with 76 inhabitants in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Sarrebourg and Canton Fénétrange.
Geography
Bickenholtz is located about twelve kilometers northeast of Sarrebourg at an altitude 298-334 m above sea level. The municipality covers 2.46 km ². Through the municipal area the A leads 4 (Strasbourg - Paris).
History
The small village was founded in 1630 and was called to 1863 Sainte -Marie -de- Bickenholtz. In 1766 it came to France, from 1871 to 1918 to the German Empire since 1919 and back to France.
