Birgit Süß

Birgit Sweet ( born March 29, 1962 in Halle ( Saale), after marriage Birgit Saul ) is a former German gymnast devices. Your home club was the SC Chemie Halle.

Birgit Sweet belonged at the World Championships in 1978 in Strasbourg to the East German team that won together with Steffi Kräker, Silvia Hindorff, Karola Sube, Heike Kunhardt and Birte Wittwer behind the Soviet team and the Romanians bronze. In the individual competition, they finished 15th place. They also reached two apparatus finals and showed places 7 and 8 at the bottom on the uneven bars. After they did not belong to DDR squad at the World Championships in 1979, she returned at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow in the team back.
