Blankenberge is a town on the Belgian North Sea coast, West Flanders province.

Geography

In addition to the marina in the former fishing port, a pier is one of the attractions.

The train station near the beach has direct connection to Brussels. With the Kusttram all Belgian coastal places are accessible.

From June to August on the beach of Blankenberge each year instead of the sand sculpture festival. On the first weekend in May, the two- day hike ( International Tweedaagse van Vlaanderen Blankenberge ) takes place every year.

Beaufort ( Kunstmanifestatie )

Blankenberge is one of the sites for the since 2003, every three years along the Belgian North Sea Coast held an exhibition of sculpture Beaufort. The Beaufort04 will take place in 2012.
