Bless This House (film)

Protect this house (AKA Bless this house) is not a regular film from the series of Carry-on ... movies, but has the most characteristic features of the series. There is also an eponymous television series, based on the movie.

Action

Sid Abbot is a meek ​​family man. Not enough with the job and the normal marriage problems that he has to endure with his wife. Not enough with his work-shy son Mike, who prefer to think of girls and to the protest, and with his teenage daughter Sally, who hovers in mind other spheres. Not enough with the neighbors Trevor and Betty Lewis and the attempt in the gazebo whiskey black burn. Now draw a still new neighbors. And the couple Baines is particularly annoying in his arrogance. A small war breaks out, which is also reinforced by all sorts of subplots and ends in a grand finale.

This film is based on, a year broadcast television series of the same name. A large part of the Cast & Crew Carry-on ... movies are on here and busy behind the camera. Gerald Thomas led the director, Peter Rogers produced the film, Eric Rogers wrote the music, Alan Hume was the cameraman, the section concerned Alfred Roome. The buildings, costumes, make-up, the production line and the sound was contributed by the usual crew.

Also a lot of the main characters is one of the master cast of the Carry-on ... series or played in at least several of the films in larger roles with Sidney James, Sally Geeson, Peter Butterworth, Terry Scott, June Whitfield, Patsy Rowlands, Bill Maynard, Marianne Stone and Julian Orchard. Son Mike Abbot is here, unlike in the series, not by Robin Stewart but Robin Askwith, neighbor Trevor Lewis is not played by Anthony Jackson but by Terry Scott.
