Bödeli

The Bödelibahn (BB) is a former 8.4 -kilometer standard gauge railway in Switzerland. She joined the lake Thun over Interlaken and the so-called Bödeli with Lake Brienz.

History

Starting position

On the lakes of Thun and Brienz wrong steamships and brought tourists to the Bernese Oberland and especially to Interlaken, the starting point for discovery and excursions in the Jungfrau region. Planning and construction

The original plan was a standard gauge Brünigbahn from Bern to Thun through Guerbetal, then to build on the southern shore of Lake Thun to Interlaken along Lake Brienz and continue along to Brienz and in central Switzerland.

Operation
